Preparing Software User Interface for Localization

During this step, our professional localization team, and desktop publishing engineers will be working on extracting the strings from the software and its user interface and prepare the files to be translated and assigned to our localization team.

We always work back and forth with the client for recommendations and suggestions. Not tom mention that we apply any Unicode standards in the UI strings to improve the complete software localization process. We also assign a dedicated professional localization project manager to help you with your software localization project, and to find a solution and answer for any questions you might have during the software’s User Interface localization, and translation process.

Translating Software Contents and Text Strings

Once our team finished working on extracting the text strings from the software and its UI, our project manager will assign the extracted contents of the software to our professional native translators to work on the translation part of the localization project. Most of the time, our translators work with a standardized translation memory tool (TM) to help to bring consistency to the final localized and translated contents of the software with its text strings and user interface (UI). It also helps us monitoring the final quality of the entire work as well.

With our TM tools we will generate a complete glossary term list for our clients, and for us to work on the translation during the entire localization process for better general consistency and quality on the entire project. Also using memory tools side by side with our professional native and accredited language experts, will enable us to have more than qualified native translator working on the same project to meet the deadline and at the same time get the same language consistency as required for a standardized translation including terminology, expressions, and grammatical choices on the language itself.

Rebuilding and Compiling Software Localized Files

In this step our team works on compiling software infrastructure with our localized and translated files converting the source codes into executable codes with the help of UI string translations from the previous step. After the build-up of the localized files, there might be minor changes and adjustments to the software UI to match the target language and the target culture. Software Localization QA Testing

 

In this step, and after translating and compiling the localized file strings from the original software. Our language expert and computer engineers will go for a final round to check for any bugs or language inconsistencies before the release of the final product. We apply rigorous functionality testing to make sure that the final localized software has the same exact touch and feel in its UI as the original source UI files. We also make sure no bugs exist in the source codes as a result of the localization process.
